The RAAF Williamtown Flying Club (RWFC) is an Australian Defence Force (ADF) Welfare Club located at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW.
Membership is open to all Australian Defence Organisation (ADO) personnel within the Newcastle/Hunter region including reserve and ex-serving members. Additionally, membership may also be granted to civilians within the region in order to strengthen the relationship between the RAAF and the local community.
RWFC is proudly supported by Phil Unicomb Aviation who provides Part 141 Air Operator Certificate and oversight for pilot training. This includes training to achieve a Recreational Pilot Licence, Private Pilot Licence or Commercial Pilot Licence.
Endorsement training is also available (based on aircraft availability) such as
- Manual propeller pitch control (piston engine)
- Tailwheel undercarriage
- Retractable undercarriage
- Aerobatics
- Formation flying (aeroplane)
Club management and flight booking is conducted through FlightCircle. There is an Apple iPad mini available to all club members for use as an electronic flight bag (EFB).
